Looking for the best Asian food is an exciting adventure filled with strong flavors and rich traditions. As a food lover, I'm always attracted to the unique tastes of Asian dishes. I wandered through charming streets and busy areas to find restaurants that both satisfied my taste buds and left a memorable impact. These places aren't the bustling ones like in Seattle and don't have many Yelp reviews, but they're definitely worth a visit. They are mostly located in Kitsap County, like Port Orchard, Bremerton, and Silverdale, and some in Pierce County, like Tacoma, Lakewood, and Gig Harbor. If you live around these areas, this post is for you. Come along as I share my experiences with some of the best Asian places to eat and shop. Let’s go!

Known for offering the best milk tea in the area, this place provides authentic flavors, a clean environment, and a creative menu. They also specialize in unique boba flavors and have a friendly staff eager to recommend their seasonal specials. They have plenty of store locations to choose from.
We love the A3, which is the classic boba milk tea, as well as the A7 milk tea with boba, pudding, and jelly. Oh! And I just realized after my trip from Vancouver, Canada, that I love warm Taro milk tea - try it, it's life changing!. The best part is you can choose how much ice and sugar you want. Their bubble matcha waffle is another favorite!
4. Korean Flavors

We loved Tacoma Sumo Sushi & Grill sashimi platter!
5. Authentic Japanese Food
Tacoma Branch
- Sumo Sushi & Grill AYCE - Tacoma
- Address: 2919 S 38th St Suite B, Tacoma, WA 98409
- Free parking
We tried the restaurant in Tacoma, and the food was fantastic! Saul is picky about Japanese food since he grew up in Japan, and this is one of the few places he'd visit again—it's really that good! The prices are fair for the variety they offer. They also have a location in Bremerton, so you don't have to travel far, but the Tacoma branch reigns supreme!
- Hi Life
- Address: 220 Olympic Dr SE, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110
- Pay for Parking or Street Parking at Winslow Way E
This place is small; you order at the counter and then either receive your meal there or have it served at your table. They’re known for their Poke “Sho Ka Do” Box, which includes eight types of poke: three varieties of ahi and salmon, one scallop, and one tako, along with an appetizer. It’s a lot of poke that can be shared among up to three people. The creamy ramen was my favorite, made even better because our little one loved it. Explore Bainbridge Island: meet a troll and enjoy a brew from Washington's first coffee roaster!
- Poke Pop - Poulsbo
- Address: 21555 Olhava Way NW Suite 101, Poulsbo, WA 98370
- Zen Ramen & Sushi Burrito
- Address: 2720 15th St, Bremerton, WA 98312
We visited their branch located in Shelton, Mason County, and I've also heard wonderful things about their Bremerton branch. I ordered the salmon poke, which was amazing, and the chashu ramen broth tasted really good. Even the kids’ ramen had big servings. Most Zen Ramen locations have beautiful Japanese-themed decorations that make you feel as though you're dining in Japan. At the Shelton branch, the women's restroom looked like a garden and had a chair with a cute little sleeping Squirtle that my little one loved. The food is awesome, and the atmosphere is great! I totally recommend them and hope that all their branches maintain the same exceptional quality.
It's tough to find a good Japanese restaurant. We tried two in Silverdale that had great reviews on Google and Yelp, with lots of stars, but they didn't live up to our expectations. One seemed more like a store selling Chinese goods than a restaurant, and the ramen broth tasted like no effort was put into it, and everything didn't taste right. The second place is well-known in Seattle, but that branch was disappointing. The sushi rolls had too much rice, the teriyaki had a strange aftertaste, and the ramen was too salty. I don't understand how these restaurants get such great reviews!
- Daiso
- Address: 6111 Lakewood Towne Center Blvd SW F, Lakewood, WA 98499
- Lots of other locations
Daiso is a Japanese store chain that offers a variety of Japanese merchandise, including beauty products, housewares, and snacks. I’m a huge fan of this store and wish they would open a location in Kitsap County. They have numerous store locations.
6. Savory Chinese Dishes
- Kim's Teriyaki
- Address: 1894 SE Sedgwick Rd # 102, Port Orchard, WA 98366
- Harbor City Tacoma Restaurant
- Address: 4816 Pacific Ave, Tacoma, WA 98408
A hidden gem in Chinese food, the restaurant might not be fancy, but the food is fantastic. This one is in Pierce County. My favorite was the Pork with brown sauce—something with “hua,” though I can't remember the name. We also loved the huge Siomai and Buns! They have a wide selection of dim sum and traditional dishes that keep customers coming back.
- Lin's Teriyaki Fish & Chips
- Address: 32 NE Silver Pine Dr # 214,Bremerton, WA 98311
Most Filipino favorite dishes are served here. My friend recommended this place as the food is genuinely good and the friendly ambiance.
Authentic Filipino Store
- Asian Market International
- Address: 4197 Kitsap Way, Bremerton, WA 98312
This small market offers a wide range of products from the Philippines. Their warm Goldilocks siopao and siomai make for a delicious on-the-go snack.
Notable Filipino Stores
Just a huge shoutout to two Filipino stores for celebrating Pinoy pride!
It's about 45 minutes to an hour from Kitsap and Pierce County, depending on traffic. The two stores are in Tukwila, located in King County. They're 30 minutes from Tacoma and only 10 minutes from SeaTac Airport.
- Jollibee
- Address: 1374 Southcenter Mall, Tukwila, WA
You can't go wrong here! Another great place for authentic Filipino food is Jollibee. I've loved their spaghetti since I was a kid, and it's still the best in the world! This fast-food chain from the Philippines is famous worldwide for its delicious fried chicken.
- Seafood City Supermarket
- Address: 1368 Southcenter Mall #100, Tukwila, WA 98188
A supermarket offering a wide range of Filipino and other Asian products. This is the ultimate destination for all the Filipino items you can imagine.
- Royal Tandoor
- Address: 1821 SE Lund Ave, Port Orchard, WA 98366
This restaurant is a true hidden gem in Port Orchard for those who appreciate delicious food. We got the Tikka Masala with a spice level 3, which was just right for those who can’t tolerate spicy food, along with the Chicken Coconut Curry, and the Mango Lassi were all outstanding! The atmosphere is bright and romantic, the servers exude happiness, and the Indian cuisine is authentic and of the highest quality. You wouldn’t be disappointed to bring your family and friends here.
These are not Asian cuisines, but we loved them; they're worth mentioning.
9. Mexican Food
The best Mexican drive-thru! Coming from Los Angeles, we're used to authentic Mexican food. Even though they have mixed reviews, we really enjoyed our order. The beef and chicken enchiladas and the tacos were delicious. The hot sauces were watered down, but everything else tasted great.

10. American Food
- The Toad House
- Address: 1405 NE McWilliams Rd #101, Bremerton, WA 98311
Pizza here is genuinely delicious! The dough, the sauce, and the toppings were perfectly good, which just proves their worthiness of being on my list.
