Fixing the Singapore Tax Error in Adsense: A Step-by-Step Guide

If you're an Adsense user who recently encountered an error message regarding Singapore tax, you're not alone. Even if you don't have a YouTube account and your Adsense is linked to a blog, the issue can occur. Luckily, I was able to resolve it by following a step-by-step guide. If you're experiencing the same problem, give this guide a try – it worked for me and could work for you too. Let's go!

Even though I am not from or living in Singapore. After doing some investigating, I discovered that my posts were also appearing in Singapore. This was the cause of the issue. Just to give you some context, my Adsense account is registered in a different country. However, I've already submitted my USA tax form, and it has been accepted. Additionally, I don't have a YouTube account at the moment.


Payment Settings Error Message

If you received the following error message in Payment Settings, "To avoid any delays on your payout and to make sure that the right amount of tax is withheld, make sure that you provide your Singapore tax info as soon as possible."

If you encounter the same message as above, here's how to address the problem with your AdSense account.


How to Resolve the Singapore Tax in Adsense Issue:

1. Click on the USA tax info W-8 form
2. Download the form
3. Verify the expiry date under the form by clicking on tax info details
4. Return to Payment Settings and locate the error message related to Singapore Tax
5. Choose "Add Tax Info"
6. Upload the W8 form and enter the expiry date.

Processing Time for My Singapore Tax Information

Once I submitted my Singapore Tax Information, it only took a day for it to be reviewed and accepted the following day.
