How to Update Your Marital Status with Pag-IBIG

To change your surname in Pag-IBIG, you need to update your membership record by submitting a completed Member’s Change of Information Form (MCIF) at any Pag-IBIG branch. Let’s go!

Requirements: Transition from Single to Married


Fun Fact:

In the Philippines, instead of saying "Photocopy," we commonly use the term "Xerox." I love the unique language we have that signifies where we come from. It's like "Tell me you're Filipino without telling me you're Filipino", ahahaa.


To update your information, follow these steps:

  1. Write your 12-digit Pag-IBIG MID Number.
  2. Tick the "Change/Correction of Name" box.
  3. In the "To" section, write your maiden name, and in the "From" section, write your married name.
  4. Sign and date the form under "Certification."
  5. Submit the form to the Pag-IBIG office. Remember to get a priority number and wait for your turn to be called.
