Bohol Vacation Checklist
Bohol is one of the provinces in the Philippines, located in the Central Visayas region. All the tourist sites are accessible by tricycle/jeepney and van. Hiring a van for a one-day city tour is a smart choice; if you consider the time and travel going to different places you can save ample time to get to these places. Let's go!

Travel Tips
If you're still looking for plane tickets check out Skyscanner, it's a great platform that our family used to compare flight tickets and we always get the best deals there.
Places To Stay Around Bohol
Our family trusts booking.com when it comes to hotels with great deals. Try to find accommodation in the city center as that will save you time traveling and makes the most of your vacation days.
Advantages: Hired Van
-Time Management for travelers who have a few days' stay.
-A number one choice for groups and partners who like a hassle-free city tour.
-Slight difference in expenses but worth the saved time and security as well.
-All tourist spots will be visited as long as you're not too obsessed with taking too many pictures.
- I recommend for your first day book a day tour, a pick-up transfer from the ferry terminal or from the airport to different tourist spots. Then on the next day, you can plan your next move, or at least give yourself a day to familiarize the place before going on your own tour.
Advantages: Going on your own
- Great for Solo travelers or just Backpacking in Bohol.
- It wouldn't be fun if you didn't get lost. To avoid such read blogs ahead of time and research for possible routes and fares.
- Time-consuming yet you'll never know what's in store for you. Great for people who have a sense of Adventure and keep a positive vibe all day long.
- Meet different kinds of people along the way and definitely, you're bidding skills will be put to the test.
-Choose what you like to visit, bear in mind that time management is important to meet your checklist and the number one thing let lose you're on a vacation! Smile, laugh, and enjoy every step of the way.
How to get there:
( by air or by sea ) Updated 2019
By Air
For Locals: Book a domestic flight bound for Bohol. There are direct flights to Bohol from most parts of the country.
For foreigners: Some airlines offer direct flights to the province. If you can't find a flight to Bohol, stopover at Cebu (Mactan-Cebu International Airport) then book your domestic flight to Bohol.
Another alternative if you want to save some money, you can take a ferry from Cebu to Bohol.
From the Mactan-Cebu International Airport:
You can take a cab going to Pier 1, Cebu Pier Area. The estimated fare is 250 PHP – 350 PHP, depending on traffic.
Alternatively, if you're familiar with Uber and/or Lyft, then you can download and use the mobile app, Grab, to book your transportation.
If you have luggage have your cab enter the ferry terminal for a fee of 10 PHP. Take note the ticketing office is outside the ferry terminal gates.

Deletehow much po ung van? san po na hotel ung 900?
Deletekaya no po bang halfday sa chocolate hills at luboc?
DeleteHey Tonix!
DeleteI think we paid 2,500 php for 5 people and ask for another discount during the payment transaction. It would be much better if you go as a group so you'll pay less individually.
I can't remember the establishment where we stayed but it's just around Tagbilaran Market. We asked the local people for this place, it's not actually a Hotel but a Pension House.
You can visit Loboc River first then proceed to Chocolate Hills. However , it would be such a waste if you just past by other tourist spot along the day. Well Its your trip, your decision. Just make sure to manage your time to achieve it in a half day pace.
Have fun and be safe!
