How to Renew Your PRC License Online: A Guide for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and Non-Philippine Residents
Here are the simple steps you need to follow to renew your Professional Identification Card with the PRC online:
1. Visit the PRC Website
2. Create an Account
To begin using LERIS, log in to your existing account. If you're new to the platform, you'll have to create an account first. Once you complete the registration process, validate your account via email, and then sign in to get started.
3. Update Details
Fill out your personal information and upload your latest photo. Avoid unnecessary rejections by not uploading duplicates, such as images previously uploaded in the past few years. My photo submission had a white background, and I wasn't wearing a collar.
4. Click Renewal
- On your profile page, after updating your photo, click on “Select Transaction.”
- Next, choose “Renewal.”
- then select your profession and enter your PRC ID number.
- Select your preferred PRC regional office,
- Set your appointment.
You can change your appointment date once. If you accidentally choose the wrong date, you won't be able to modify it. Simply refresh the page and go through the renewal process again.
- Provide additional details for your employment status, like Private, Government, or Self-Employed.
- Pay the necessary fees.
Payment Options
Next, select your payment channel. You have three options:
- 1. PAYMAYA: VISA/MASTER/JCB/GCASH—an additional convenience fee of 8 PHP applies.
- 2. LANDBANK / BANCNET—with a 10 PHP convenience fee for LANDBANK and 20 PHP for Bancnet.
- 3. Pay at the Branch—Note that if you are in the Cebu region, the PRC Cashier may be temporarily unavailable at the selected office branch.
Finally, click Submit Application.
5. If You're Abroad
For those who are abroad, you can ask a representative who is also a PRC holder to process the renewal on your behalf. They can visit the PRC office with all the requirements needed to accomplish the renewal process. For more information: PRC Website
What to Bring for the PRC ID Renewal Appointment: For PRC Holder Representatives
To avoid any issues during your PRC ID renewal appointment, make sure to bring the following documents and items:
- Photocopy of your PRC ID
- Photocopy of your driver's license for non-Philippines residents or an Employment Contract for OFW’s
- Signed application form waiver
- Authorization letter
- Photocopy of the PRC Holder's ID processing your application on your behalf.
