How to get to Topanga Lookout Trailhead California

Easiest Hike in Malibu

One day, I asked my husband if we could go for a short hike before we delivered our baby. I was in my third trimester at that time, and little did we know our baby boy was on his way the next day. We chose to hike the Topanga Lookout Trailhead, which is a short, beginner-friendly trail.

We wanted to see the sea of clouds at the lockout, which meant getting up as early as possible. Our hike started before 7 in the morning, and even though it was a short hike, I needed to take a few breaks as I was carrying a watermelon in my belly. We reached the lookout around 7:30 am, and even though the sun was up, we still managed to see a fantastic sea of clouds. Let’s go!

The Only Challenge

The trail gets challenging only in the last part, where there's a slight incline to get to the lookout. If a pregnant woman in her third trimester, without knowing, will go into labor the next day can do it, so can you!

The blue-coloured character painted on the ground with its childish grin excited me more for the baby.  Our bundle of joy was ready, and we were about to meet our precious child soon.

My last hike in my third trimester. Check out Six Easy Day Hikes in Yosemite National Park. I did some short hikes in Yosemite during my first trimester.

This hike is definitely going on my list of favorite hikes here in Southern California. It's short and easy, and the view is spectacular. I couldn't ask for more.

Have fun and be safe  ^__^
